DC MChiro MMCA Dip TASK

I am a Mc Timoney trained chiropractor, however I use Activator Methods Chiropractic mostly these days because of its pinpoint accuracy, reproduceability and its effectiveness.
My treatment approach is completely unique and most of the time works wonders. I integrate both of these methods with Kinesiology, Bowen technique, Acupuncture for musculoskeletal conditions, and Emmett technique.

To give people the glue in between their treatments I enjoy teaching Postural Alignment therapy rehabilitation exercises and also Tai Chi and Qigong exercises. This allows them to learn some great techniques and take responsibility for their own healing.

I have been practicing now for close enough to twenty years and am very passionate about what I do. Learning about anatomy and learning new body work techniques is a hobby to me. I love it, and I love sharing self-help techniques and information about peoples bodies so they can understand themselves better and empower themselves to live the lives that they deserve.
As someone who has experienced chronic pain, I empathise with others as it can really sap your energy and make you feel depressed.

I had awful sciatica that laid me up on the sofa for about three months as a result of slipping on wet grass. I couldn’t believe it, but if it wasn’t for that fall I might not be a chiropractor now. I literally could not do anything, I was very depressed and at the time I was just about to take on a martial arts Centre, it was devastating to me that I couldn’t move without being in severe pain let alone being able to train. I tried everything and eventually had to reconsider my career options. A Kinesiology course came up locally to me and my teacher at the time helped me recover, this opened the door to my journey as a therapist. I opened the martial art centre and I haven’t looked back since.

I have used therapies in all sorts of different settings, with my students previously at the martial arts Centre, working as a therapist on the acute psychiatric wards in the NHS, working with deaf autistic young adults and within various private clinical settings. I have also treated in the strangest places, if someone needs help and I can do something about it most of the time I will, some of which have been in shops, petrol garages, restaurants, airports, beaches, to name a few.
I consider myself very fortunate to work here at the spinal health Centre with Julien Barker and the rest of the team. I still learn a lot every day, have some good giggles and I’m lucky to be around these people. It rarely feels like work.

In my spare time, I like to be with my family. We love music, and there’s nothing more than I love than going to a festival with my wife, two children and my brother.
We also spend a lot of time at the beach and I enjoy to surf when it’s working. To chill out, I practice Tai Chi and boxing, and recently have become obsessed with backgammon.
